Botox

It is a non-invasive injectable wrinkle treatment where the primary ingredient, a type of neurotoxin is used. The injections are composed of botulinum toxin A that is when administered partially paralyses the face muscles and relaxes them overall. The outcome is that your face will appear smoother than before and the wrinkles on the targeted area will be less visible.

Juvéderm

Similar to Botox, Juvéderm as well is a non-invasive procedure that doesn’t need any surgical process to be done. In this process, the injections contain a solution made out of hyaluronic acid that is designed to act as fillers working underneath the skin. The solution used for Juvéderm treatment comes in varied formulas that are used for treating wrinkles of different areas.

How long does the procedure take to complete?

Although both procedures take relatively less time to complete. Comparing them in terms of timeframe, Botox takes a little longer time to show results than Juvéderm.

Botox

The process of injecting them can be completed in a couple of minutes only, however, if there is a wider area to be covered then multiple injections are used. The treatment session then might take a little longer than a couple of minutes. The results from the Botox treatment can be seen within 24 to 48 hours.

Juvéderm

As per the Juvéderm’s official website, the procedure takes 15 minutes to as long as 1 hour depending on the number of injections required to cover the targeted area. Each injection when administered will create a slight prickly sensation on the area, however, it isn’t painful. The results from this treatment can be seen almost immediately as per the manufacturers claim.

Comparing the outcomes

Botox

As mentioned earlier, the Botox treatment takes up to 24-48 hours to show visible results from the treatment. The results obtained from this treatment can last for four months or so after which it fades slowly. You need follow-up treatment sessions after the time period.

Juvéderm
